About the Artist

Victoria Heisler was born in Riverside, NJ and grew up in Neptune Beach, FL. At an early age she became interested in painting and drawing. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Anthropology and began doing archaeological and botanical illustration for Computer Sciences Corporation.

Later, her work in the travel industry was the genesis for Victoria's unique style as well as one of her decorative themes. Extensive travel throughout the Greek Islands and the American Southwest developed her love for, and appreciation of, the broad, flat surfaces, and the clean whites and blues of Mediterranean and adobe architecture, as well as the whimsical nature of farmyard chickens.

Her ceramic pieces are hand painted on white earthenware. Her pieces are lead free, and oven and dishwasher safe. Victoria's glass is hand-made and kiln fired.

Victoria has shown her oils at the Gallery de los Colores in Taos, New Mexico. Her ceramics and glass are sold in galleries throughout the United States. She has been the featured artist at Clay Orbit in Cockeysville, Maryland, People's Pottery, the 2005 Tour de Clay in Baltimore, Borders Books and Music. She was Artist of the Month at ArtFX in Annapolis, Maryland, and her work was featured in Best of Baltimore magazine in 2006. Victoria resides in Discovery Bay, California.
